Nae Ewansiha is the founder and creative director of Her Year Co. Every word, every product, every design, the website, the devotionals, the journals, the apparel, and everything still being created was conceived and created by her. She does not just lead this brand. She builds it, by hand, with intention, from the inside out. Creation is not her job title. It is who she is.
She is a creator at her core. That is not a title. It is how she is wired. The desire to make something beautiful and meaningful has always been in her, and Her Year Co. is what happens when that instinct meets a genuine conviction that women deserve tools worthy of the lives they are actually living.
She is a journaler herself. The practice of sitting down with God and being honest on the page, not the polished version of herself but the real one, has shaped how she lives, how she leads, and how she loves. That personal conviction is not background information. It is the foundation. Every product Her Year Co. creates exists because Nae made it for herself first, and then decided no woman should have to walk through her year alone.
Her Year Co. came from something burning in her heart. A genuine belief that every year with God means something. Even the years that felt like barely holding on. Especially those. She built this brand from the middle of her own faith journey, not from the other side of it, not from a place of having arrived, because she has not. She is still in it, still figuring it out, still choosing God on the hard days just like the woman she built this for.
She is not the founder who had it all figured out. She is the woman who kept showing up anyway. And Her Year Co. is what that looks like when it becomes something you can hold in your hands.

Nae does not have it all together. She makes mistakes, she has hard days, and she goes to God with her pain before she goes anywhere else. That is not a disclaimer. That is the whole point. Her Year Co. was built by a woman still in the middle of her own becoming.

Her Year Co. was not built from a place of arrival. It was built in the tension, in the uncertainty, in the seasons where faith was the only thing holding the vision together. Every decision made for this brand was made by a woman still learning what it means to trust God with something she loves.

Design is an argument. Every choice in the Her Year aesthetic says this woman deserves things made with care. She has been given tools that look like afterthoughts for too long. Her Year was built to change that.

The Woman
Behind the Brand
Every year you've lived, He was already there. Writing something you couldn't see yet.
In 2025, I went through a loss that broke something open in me. The kind of grief that gets into everything, your prayers, your sleep, your sense of who you are and what you're worth. I blamed myself. And for a while, I let that blame sit right where it landed.

But God was already in it. Even when I couldn't feel Him. Even when I wasn't looking. He was in the season I couldn't name and in the quiet moments when I finally stopped long enough to feel something other than empty. He was there the whole time.

And right in the middle of that, while I was still grieving, still carrying it, still trying to find my footing, the idea came.

That same year, God gave me an idea I wasn't expecting. And no matter how many times I told myself I wasn't the right person for it, it never went away."

And I fought it. Because who was I to build something like this? I wasn't on the other side. I wasn't healed and whole and ready. I was still in the middle of it, grieving, rebuilding, some days just holding on. How do you build something for women when you're still figuring out how to be one yourself?

But God doesn't wait for you to arrive. He meets you where you are and says, build it anyway.

So in August of 2025, I started. I wasn't ready. He said go. Her Year Co. wasn't built from a place of having it all together; it was built from the middle of falling apart and slowly, month by month, putting things back together in His hands.

We started with Grace because it was the only honest place to start.
​
If you've ever felt like your faith should look different by now, like you should be further along, more consistent, or less broken, this is for you. Every product, every devotional, every word we put into the world is for the woman who is still becoming. Who is still showing up. Who is still here.
